I'm 23 years old and heading into student teaching. The Praxis this Saturday determines my fate for the next six months of my life.

I want to teach special education -- I don't want a classroom full of kids, I want the unexpected. I want to figure it out as I go. I want to pursue a serious career in music, sooner rather than later, but I'll settle for teaching music in the meantime. I want to learn ballet. I have a curiosity for science and medicine, and I'm a little scared it's turning into a fascination which could turn into a passion. I guess I have dreams that just won't quit.

My dad was just diagnosed with type 2 diabetes, and that changed my life.


I'm starting at 5'3" and 235, and that's going to change, too.
